Cookie policy

This policy explains what information the forcegrupsecurity.ro website stores in your browser, why we use it and how you can control your choices. It supplements our Privacy policy.

This is an English translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Romanian version prevails.

1. Who is responsible for the website

The website is operated by FORCE GRUP SECURITY SRL, with its registered office at Str. Litoralului nr. 86, Sector 2, Bucharest, postal code 022536, Romania, tax identification number (CUI) 53273176, Trade Register no. J2026002212001. For questions about this policy, write to us at office@forcegrupsecurity.ro.

2. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser and can read on later visits. They can be:

  • first-party, set by the website you are visiting, or third-party, set by other domains, such as analytics or advertising services;
  • session cookies, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.

Local storage (localStorage) is a similar technology through which a website keeps information in your browser, without it being sent automatically to the server on every request. The law treats cookies and any other technology that stores or accesses information on your device in the same way, so this policy describes both.

3. Legal framework

The use of these technologies is governed by Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, which transposes Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive). The rule is that information may only be stored on or accessed from your device with your consent, given after you have received clear and complete information. The exception is technologies that are strictly necessary to provide the service you have explicitly requested, for which consent is not required.

Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous, within the meaning of Article 4(11) and Article 7 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), and withdrawing it must be as easy as giving it. We also follow the European Data Protection Board Guidelines 05/2020 on consent and 03/2022 on deceptive design patterns: that is why the accept and reject buttons are shown at the same level in the banner.

4. What we use on this website

The website currently does not use cookies and does not load any analytics, advertising or social media services. The only information we save in your browser is your cookie choice:

This information does not identify you, is not sent to our server and is not used for any other purpose. Because it is needed to respect the choice you made, it falls under the legal exception for strictly necessary technologies.

The website's hosting provider, Vercel Inc., may process technical access data to deliver the pages and protect against attacks, without setting tracking cookies. You will find details in the Privacy policy.

5. The categories in the preference centre

The preference centre in the banner lets you choose each of the categories below separately. Optional categories stay switched off until you choose to switch them on.

Strictly necessary

These are essential for the website to work and to remember your choice. They are always active and do not require consent. On this website, the only technology in this category is the one described in the table above.

Performance

These would measure, in aggregate, the number of visits and the most-read pages. We do not currently use such technologies.

Functional

These would enable additional features, such as videos embedded from external platforms. We do not currently use such technologies. The videos on the website are hosted on our own server and do not set cookies.

Marketing

These would be set by advertising partners to show you relevant messages on other websites. We do not currently use such technologies.

If we introduce technologies from the optional categories in the future, we will only switch them on after you give your consent, and we will update the table above with the name, provider, purpose and duration of each one.

6. Third-party services

The social media icons in the page footer (TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram) and the links to the websites of public institutions are simple links. They do not load any content from these third parties and do not allow cookies to be set until you follow them. Once you visit a third-party website, its own cookie policy applies.

7. How to change your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it:

  • press the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page;
  • use the round settings button in the corner of the screen, shown after you have made a choice.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

8. Browser settings

You can also control from your browser what information websites may store, delete information already saved and block certain categories. Instructions are in each browser's help section:

If you clear your browser data, your cookie choice is lost and the banner will be shown again on your next visit.

9. Your rights

To the extent that the information stored in your browser constitutes personal data, you have all the rights provided by the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP). How to exercise them is described in the Privacy policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever we change the technologies used on the website or when the law changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. If we introduce new technologies that require consent, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.
